FAQs
Do you have insurance?
Yes, Licensed insurance for commercial work is a requirement by law; It covers against injury and damage to people and property.
Drones used?
Mavic 3, Air 3s, mini 4, and Avata fpv.
Can weather affect drone work?
Rain can ruin a shoot if droplets land on the lens, plus drones are not waterproof so definitely not ideal conditions. If the weather forecast predicts rain or high wind, then a re-schedule to another date may be the best option. But This is all subject to discussion closer to the filming date as we all know too well how unpredictable weather can be here in England so flexibility is important.
Can I direct you through-out the shoot?
Of course! The aim is to do precisely as requested by you to get the results you desire.
Operational conditions for a small unmanned aircraft are as follows:
• Maintaining a distance of 5m from people not involved (people involved can be as close as comfortable).
• Permission of the landowner to take off and land.
• Maximum height of 120 meters above ground level.
• Maintain visual line of sight of the drone
• Stay Outside of controlled airspace (airport flight restriction zones) unless approval fee is paid (£25)
Can you fly at night?
Yes...it is legal to fly at night in the UK. Although best results are at dusk/twilight for that little extra light hitting the the camera. Full night filming can be difficult to get detail if no ambient light or artificial light is present.
